This is the email I received this morning:
Man, oh man. I am excited. I have had plans to study abroad in Spain ever since I decided on my Spanish minor. Last spring it didn't work out, but there's no reason to cry over spilled milk, right? I guess this means I'm going to need to brush up on my español - no easy task since I'm not taking a Spanish class this semester. Thank god for podcasts. This also gives me an excuse to spend all my time reading Spain travel guides and Notes From Spain.
Bahh! I can hardly control myself. But I have much homework to do before tomorrow morning, so I'd better get back to that.
Dear Erin:
Enhorabuena! You have been accepted to Boston University's Spring 2010 Madrid Internship Program/Level 2. Soon you should receive an official acceptance letter in the mail. Please allow at least a week to ten days to receive your acceptance letter and contact us if it does not arrive. I am writing so that you can begin to make your plans for next spring. The dates of the program are January 14 (the group flight departs the US on January 13) to May 14, 2010. Late arrivals and early departures are not permitted.
Be sure to consult with your academic advisor regarding all courses you will take in Madrid. You will need to determine, prior to the start of the program, the precise degree requirements these courses will fulfill.
There will be a Madrid program-specific orientation in early December. The date, time and location of the orientation will be announced in a future email. The orientation is required for BU students. Local non-BU students are encouraged to attend the Madrid specific orientation. All students will be sent the Madrid orientation materials if they cannot attend.
